This appeal arises from a jury verdict against plaintiff-appellant in a wrongful death action that arose out of the crash of a Cessna aircraft. The plaintiff is the widow of the deceased pilot. She brought an action against Cessna in strict liability. She also sued Northland Aviation. Northland had trained the pilot and rented the Cessna aircraft to him. Her action against Northland was based on negligence. The case against Cessna centered on the plaintiffs theory that the airplane was designed in such a way as to make it difficult to drain water from a critical point in the fuel line, and that when the water froze in the line it caused the plane to crash.
